AMI Alliance was founded in April 2003 and the current membership consists of 8 mobile operators; Celcom in Malaysia, dtac in Thailand, Excelcomindo in Indonesia, IDEA Cellular in India, M1 in Singapore, SmarTone-Vodafone in Hong Kong, SmarTone in Macau and Sun Cellular in Philippines.

The alliance focuses on giving the members’ customers an assured and seamless roaming experience. We do this by having a platform for members to foster preferential relationships with each other, generate new revenue streams through constant member feedback, communication and cooperation in developing and launching enhanced services and promotions.

We have a long-term strategy to develop services and capabilities that provide enhanced benefits to our customers, whether they are global multinationals with complex business requirements or the occasional traveller who needs to be constantly connected.

This will in turn make AMI members’ network to be the definite choice of their customers; both as a home network and as a visited network.

Collectively, AMI members serve more than 150 million mobile customers in Asia-Pacific.
