| AsiaConnect offers DTAC customers free SMS and cheaper calls for roaming in Singapore and the Philippines
THAILAND, 9 March 2005 - DTAC customers visiting Singapore and the Philippines, two of the most popular Asian destinations for Thais, from today until 31 August 05, will be able to enjoy substantial savings on SMS, voice calls and GPRS with AsiaConnect. AsiaConnect is a roaming flat-rate tariff plan that is being launched simultaneously by three members of the Asia Mobility Initiative (AMI) - DTAC in Thailand, M1 in Singapore and SMART in the Philippines. Under AsiaConnect, DTAC postpaid customers roaming on M1 network in Singapore and SMART network in the Philippines will receive the following benefits:
This initiative is in line with DTAC’s policy to deliver quality International Roaming (IR) service over reliable networks to both DTAC customers travelling internationally and international visitors travelling to Thailand and roaming on DTAC’s network. Wansit Saiyawan, International Business Group Director of DTAC, said: “The AsiaConnect initiative is another example of our continue effort to offer the seamless yet simple mobile roaming services to our customers. Through our participation in the AMI, we not only offer unique roaming benefits but also enhance the overall mobile experience of our customers when they travel in the region.” DTAC’s IR service currently covers 120 countries and 296 networks worldwide.
