The HSDPA technology allows XL3G mobile data service to speed up faster than the standard 3G. The XL3G network is supported by Ericsson and Huawei. True to its commitment to provide excellent customer service, a 3G-based customer contact center is also available to enable XL3G customers to make video calls to the XL contact center. The total investment for XL3G is about US$50 to 100 million. Considering that 3G is a relatively new technology, XL has also prepared 3G education for the public. A series of roadshows in shopping centers and campuses in several cities are planned, with the objective to introduce the 3G technology in general, and XL3G in particular. There are also a number of XL3G Kiosks located in 10 XL Centers, which provide electronic information on 3G and XL3G. XL prepares free 10,000 XL 3G SIM cards at selected XL Centers, available to the first 10,000 customers who visit any of the XL3G Kiosk in the 10 XL Centers. The rest of the customers can get the card by paying Rp 20.000,- “XL3G will pave the road for XL to become an ICT company, and to ensure XL’s position as a leading provider of convergent telecommunications services in Indonesia,” concluded Hasnul. “In the near future, XL3G will be developed further to respond to the requirements and needs of the market.” XL3G will bring us to experience the world of XL Life Unlimited: a world of high-speed, reliable mobile communication.
